INSS Announces Schedule for 13th Salary Payment in 2023
Palavras-chaves: 13° salário do INSS, 13th, announces, INSS, Payment, Salary, Schedule
INSS pensioners and retirees have started the year with some changes, including a hike in the value of their benefits. In recent years, the Federal Government has adopted some measures to assist this group during the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of these decisions was the advance payment of the 13th salary in the first half of the year. Traditionally, the insured receive the bonus at the end of the year, and that’s why it’s also called the Christmas bonus. However, this will change again.
Currently, around 36 million people receive some INSS benefit, such as retirement, pensions, sickness benefit, imprisonment benefit, among others. Not all can withdraw the 13th salary, such as those who receive the Continuously Paid Benefit (BPC) benefit.
Some citizens were a little confused when the government decided to revert to the original schedule of paying the 13th salary in the second half of the year, specifically in the months of August and November. However, it’s important to note that there will be no advance payment.
As usual, the first installment corresponds to 50% of the benefit value with no discount. The second installment may contain discounts such as income taxes.
The payments will start with those who earn the minimum wage, then extending to those who receive above it. Those insured are ordered according to the end of their benefit number, not considering the digit (example: 000.000.000-0).
